I think that Skate Banana is the best board ever.
Message: Hi there!
Have a look at some pictures attached and a couple of really good collages. To be honest, I think that Skate Banana is the best board ever. Just a little bit of history, this is my second season on a board and you can see my first attempts. Please do not criticize strongly saying that I can't do tricks, but ..still - even a simple jump on this board looks amazing!
Trying to find out my own board last year I had a feeling that Lib Tech boards is what I really want. TRS 167 is my first board (for freeride). My second board – Banana.
Alexander,
Russia
Good Luck.
P.S. Your boards are the best. Keep it up!!!

Bananas going for Dracula!!!
Martin and Jakob
Photo: Florent DUCASSE
Second week of January the TRS Banana crew - Jakob Wilhelmson & myself - Martin Cernik decided visit Dracula's land. I'm involved in the Heliboarding project over there, setting up together with Berghill.ro new heli operator in Fagaras Mountains, the nicest part of Carpatians. Mtns…We ad into crew another Bannana junkie Matus Hubka - Slovakian ripper and French toast Emeric Front, our buddy from Quiksilver team.
Cernik and Matus Hubka
Our trip started great, due bad weather landing in totally different city and spending 6 hours in the van to reach our final destination - Fagaras. Fagaras is located near bigger and very nice city called Sibiu, which is full of nice buildings, bars, drinks and ladies.
However our target was the beautiful white peaks and discovering some new lines. We stayed at the fish farm just bellow the mountains, in very nice and new hotel. The heli was parked just next to it, so the set up was perfect. There we've met with Austrian Alpine legend and great Big Mountain rider Martin Freinandemetz. Our crew was ready to rock the spot…Flying for 4 days, hitting unexplored terrains.

Every run was pretty much first descent, since there was never heliboarding before and believe it or not, The terrain is incredible. You can find mellow tourist runs, places to build jumps, cliffs and gnarly steeps. It is a good mix of NZ and AK in the middle of Europe and believe it or not, Nothing is better than using your banana in the backcountry to do first descent!!!

After on the down day, we went for cultural studies. We visited Dracula's castle, checked his bedroom…pretty sketchy, He must have been pretty small dude, coz the ceilings are very low. Otherwise the castle is super nice and it is for sale at the moment. We also went to check quality of local alcohol and bars..as the rest of eastern Europe it rock's - no ID bullshit, no security and drinking supervisors, everyone is just cruising and watching local hot chicks showing down some awesome dancing skills.

This trip was totally awesome - just everything went smooth and nice. I recommend this place to every rider with Passport, because it gives you memories never to be forgotten.

How was the Holy Oly this year?
Every year I have done Holy Oly it has been rad! Even though we didn't get to take pow turns into the QP like last year I definitely enjoyed the sun this year. This year was sick though with huge QP, Smiles, and everyone throwing down! And thanks to my parents and friends for coming out and checking out Holy Oly!

What are u learning about in college?
I am learning all that school whatnot... But more importantly I'm learning about this whole LIFE thing. The Dorms are an amazing experience, I love them but I can't wait to get a house or apartment next year. In the dorms you get hucked into the same building with every personality of person you can imagine and are forced to learn to live with them. I have learned how to keep the RA's away when taking care of your buddy who is puking there brains out in the bathroom haha. This year has been all about balance, It's hard to do the whole snowboarding thing and college at the same time but I'm figuring it out. There also is not any magic money machine aka parents to hook it up with that extra cash for little things. This year has been a roller coaster and college is sick!
What do u do in Ellensberg for fun?
Well its Ellensberg there is not a ton to do for fun but were making it rock. Lots of Nentendo 64 Mario cart and trying to stay out of trouble. We also got a pretty dope jib set up like 5 minutes from campus.
Any rad trips for the rest of this season?
I am road trippin to Northstar this month with a group of guys from central to Redbull's Snowarz for a college competition, I come back for like a week at school then hop on a plane down to Mammoth for the Peanut Butter Rail Jam finals. Whistler and Hood this summer. Get stoked!!
What Lib Board do you ride?
I am on a 156 Skate Banana for everything and a 154 TRS Banana for park.
Has banana technology elevated your snowboarding level?
Hell yeah! Banana technology is unreal! You just have so much control on a mag banana i love it. In the pow it floats like nothing elce and in the park you can just dull the crap out of your edges and still have a better edge then a normal sidecut. If you haven't got to try one you better hustle up and get on one. And its got a cool name!

Thinking of Riding in Japan?

SnowbedsTravel.com
Snowbeds Japan has been introducing the resort of Hakuba, home to the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, to globe trotting skiers and snowboarders since 1998.
One of the first foreign owned business’s in Hakuba, Snowbeds was started by Australian Mitch Large, who has lived and worked in Hakuba for the past 12 years. Having spent seasons in France, Austria, Canada and Australia, Mitch was seduced by Hakuba’s awesome terrain, prolific snowfalls and total absence of lift lines and crowds.
The Snowbeds company has grown over the years from running budget ski lodges and successful bars to booking memorable vacations for Hakuba holidaymakers. In fact, many of the foreigners now residing here got their first entry to Hakuba through Snowbeds.
In July 2007 they launched SnowbedsTravel.com an informative booking website for accommodation.
Choosing a place to stay in Hakuba can be a little daunting; there are literally hundreds of accommodation establishments, however, many saw their heyday back in the bubble years of pre 1990 and have become rundown in the interim years.
Snowbeds has 15 years working in the ski industry with unparalleled experience in Hakuba. They know the area better than most and also what makes for a great winter holiday. Having sourced the finest accommodation options from luxury hotels to budget lodges, SnowbedsTravel can also provide access to discount lift passes and the best quality rentals.
They can make your Hakuba snow vacation the stress free, memorable experience you expect it to be. With customer service second to none, let the SnowbedsTravel professionals take the hassle out of booking your next winter holiday. You can find them at www.snowbedstravel.com
